Our Cause

Hospice Halifax is a registered not-for-profit organization that supports people and their families in end-of-life care. We emphasize the heart in hospice and we connect families in a home-like setting at a time that is both dificult and precious. From our base at 618 Francklyn Street, Hospice Halifax is making significant headway in establishing Nova Scotia’s first, free-standing residential hospice. Plans are firming up to commence construction in 2017. The properties at Francklyn Street are being re-imagined in order to make one ten-bed, two-story residential hospice that will retain the history and warmth of the original houses. This building would not be a reality today if it were not for the generous support of Feeling The Love sponsors and attendees.

You have the opportunity to support this mission, and by doing so, impact the lives of hundreds of families each year in the most meaningful way. With your support, we will break ground and begin to provide Nova Scotians with the quality end-of-life care they deserve.

Hospice Halifax

Halifax is the largest centre in Canada without a residential hospice. Based in the community, hospices care for the whole person and respect individual choice in defining quality of life. We are committed to the establishment of free-standing residential hospice facilities within the Halifax Region. To learn more about Hospice Halifax, please visit www.hospicehalifax.org
